Birthday parties and Dinner outings

26th June 2010

Saturday morning, it should have been a more sober and relaxed morning. However, it was a busy morning schedule for Anirud and of course including his pretty mom. Ani was invited for Narayanan’s birthday party at Salmiya seaside Pizza Hut. And since he cannot manage alone, his Mom was invited to accompany him. It was a kitty only party with some adults as exception. Ritika was also invited and since she is younger than Ani, Kalpana was invited to accompany her. Chintoo, as usual had a new pair of dress to wear. Mom’s wishes for their sons always have to come true. It’s the duty of the Dad to fulfill the same come what may. He wore a green tee embossed with his favorite car and white pants. He looked dashing and freaky. Mom was not far behind as I asked her to wear her pink tee with her 3/4th blue jean. Oh, yeah she did look simply sultry in that outfit.

Am I obsessed with my spouse and what drives the same? Is it love or is it pure infatuation for sex? There have been many theories that women want love while men want sex. Can one exist without the other? I cannot think of both as mutually exclusive. It’s just a way of expression to let out what you feel, how you feel and how strong, committed you are about the other. Women prefer the softer way to express themselves while Men prefer to be more physical in their expressions. It’s a personal thought and yes I love and enjoy sex with my beau. It’s just insatiable and though we have many arguments about the same, she knows and is reconciled to the fact that I am what I am and can never change in this aspect.

After all, with marriage the greatest virtue which comes to both partners is the sense of understanding and giving unto the wants and desires of the other. It’s not a sacrifice, it’s just that both enjoy the pleasure of letting go, holding their hands together, walking hand in hand, shoulder to shoulder to move on and ahead discovering new vistas in their life. So, yes, I love her deeply and can never live without her. She is all pervasive in my life and I can never think of a life without her. And I completely surrender myself to her and she knows that, though she might pretend that it’s the other way around. That’s love.

Why is pink associated with girls and blue with boys, any rationale behind the same? Is pink associated with softness, mild and gentle while blue is associated with completeness or expansiveness as the sea. The one major difference between dresses of Indian culture and that of the western culture is that, while the former exudes the inherent beauty of the lady, the latter exemplifies the external gorgeousness of the lady. Perceptions can differ with all of us having our own opinions. That’s the way it should be as we are humans and that’s how we differentiate from the other species that inhabit this world along with us.

We left from our home at around 11.45 and on the way I picked up Kalpana and Ritika as well. Then I dropped them at the venue and returned home to have my sumptuous lunch. Ani and co had a great time at Pizza Hut, playing games etc. Eventually I got a call from Ram to pick them up at around 2 PM. I went there, picked them up, dropped Kalpana and Ritika at their home and returned to our home. Buddy boy fell asleep by the time we reached home.

In the evening we had been to Home centre in Shuwaikh as there was a sale on. Later we got a call from Balu on the dinner plan and I said, let’s go out and asked him about the whereabouts. He suggested we go to Green Land, a vegetarian restaurant in City. His friend had also accompanied him as his family was vacationing in Bangalore. Once the dinner was over, we went to Balu’s home for a chat, as he would say that no one is coming to his house. We were there until 11.45 PM, wished him advance wedding anniversary wishes and returned home. Once we reached home, Vidya asked me to call them and wish them Wedding anniversary wishes as the clock struck 12. Oops, she is quite particular about these things and the Cat – Balu also expects such things from us. And that’s how we had spent the day.
