Poem for Anirud's 4th Birthday

Since the dawn of Anirud, life has been a roller coaster of a ride

Happiness sweeping our lives in an incessant tide

When Anirud has been beside

Life has bid ciao to woe betide

Anirud is completing four years

And has wiped away our anguish and tears

He has been like the rays of the morning sun

Embalming the decayed mind of its essence

And soothing like the charming moon

Refreshing the soul to seek love’s eternal presence

Brimming with innocence, he is a sheer joy

To rediscover and live the glorious days of childhood

Simmering with unbridled affection, he is yet coy

Teaching us the pangs and pleasure of parenthood

Every day, every passing hour and minute he makes us realize

How much our parents loved, cared and worried for our bliss

Sacrificing their lives to achieve what we aspired to become

Blessed we are to have such wonderful parents

Teaching us such compassion, love and noble virtues

As we can pass on to our children such qualities

To make this world a better place to live for future generations

That has all the goodness of life…a life of love and greatness

As we complete the circle of life to reach eternity

May this child of ours be blessed with all your good wishes

To reach the pinnacle of life in the days to come

with love & honey dew kisses
